August 2012 – Poem of the Month

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT

By Angel Kananta of Indonesia

Have you ever thought
that life is cruel
But because of it
we’ll know how beautiful life is

Have you ever thought
that life is unfair
But it’s more unfair
if you think like that

Have you ever thought
this life’s so lonely
when you have left behind

Weep not my friend!
You still have me
to lay your head upon

Have you ever thought,
My friend?
