Salak Fruit

Salak is a tasty fruit found in Indonesia.  The skin of the fruit looks like brown snake scales.  The inside fruit consists of three separate pieces that look like giant garlic cloves.  The fruit tastes a bit like a crisp apple.  Just be careful not to bite into the large seeds within each piece of fruit.  The following YouTube video clip provides some information about salak, which is also known as “snake fruit.”
